This pilgrimage occurs each January. Youth from the parish travel by bus to Washington, D.C. for a couple of days of sightseeing and then participate in a national, pro-life youth Mass. Then they march from the National Mall to the Supreme Court building to show their support for the Culture of Life and voice their opposition to the decision in Roe v. Wade which legalized abortion on demand. Youth participating in this event will also be involved with fundraising efforts prior to the trip. Funds from these events will be used to help subsidize the cost of the trip for the youth. To receive assistance with the cost, youth must work at the fundraisers and attend Religious Education classes.

Grades 9-12

Our youth will travel to Texas this summer and construct a home for a family in need of shelter. The CYM will raise money through fundraisers to make the trip affordable.

Every year parish youth travel to Washington D.C. to show their support for the right to life. We realize that life is to be nurtured not only during pregnancy, but thereafter until death. Extreme poverty still exists today in places not too far from home. We all need to appreciate the good things in our lives and the abundance that God has blessed us with.
