To help with meeting our normal operating expenses, our Spanish-speaking parishioners here at St. Patrick’s are hosting an authentic lunch after the 10:00 Mass on Sunday, February 10, in the School Gym. Authentic, homemade tacos, tortas (a type of sandwich), and tamales will be available for purchase at the following prices: Tamales - $2 each; Tortas - $5 each; and Tacos - $5 for 4 tacos. In addition, they will be taking orders for tamales after the Masses this weekend, which will be available for pickup that day. The cost is $20 for a dozen tamales. All proceeds will be given to the Church. Thanks in advance for your support

All the needed repairs have been made to the Adoration Chapel/Birthline house, and so now we are ready to make preparations to start Adoration once again in the Chapel. With this in mind, as Father Linnebur mentioned at Mass last weekend, we need to make a few changes in the way Eucharistic Adoration takes place. Adoration, correctly done, is where Jesus is continually exposed in the monstrance, with adorers coming one after the other in “shifts” to be with Jesus. We had an excellent turnout with the surveys last weekend, and so it appears that we will be able to have Adoration starting on Mondays at 9:00 AM and going continually to Thursday at 9:00 PM. Our goal is to have 2 people signed up for each hour slot. If you are interested in signing up for an hour, please see the table in the gathering space before or after Mass this weekend, or simply call in to the parish office. In addition, Father will be giving a couple of opportunities for a class on Adoration – to learn what we do during Adoration itself. The first opportunity is next Sunday, February 3, at 2:00 PM in the Parish Center. Our goal is to begin actual Adoration in the Chapel on Monday, February 11.

St. Patrick Catholic School students will have the following events starting Monday, January 28th. Monday - Crazy Sock Day, Tuesday - Crazy Hair/Kansas Team Colors Day, Wednesday - Crazy Hat Day and Walk in Sisters Shoes During PE, Thursday - PJ Day and Friday - Free Dress Day with Assembly at 2:30pm in the gym. Students get their name put in a drawing each day they dress up. Prizes will be awarded during the assembly on Friday
